Absorbing set: In functional analysis and related areas of mathematics an absorbing set in a vector space is a set S which can be inflated to include any element of the vector space. Alternative terms are radial or absorbent set.
Absorbing set (random dynamical systems): In mathematics, an absorbing set for a random dynamical system is a subset of the phase space that eventually contains the image of any bounded set under the cocycle of the random dynamical system. As with many concepts related to random dynamical systems, it is defined in the pullback sense.
Absorbing element: In mathematics, an absorbing element is a special type of element of a set with respect to a binary operation on that set. The result of combining an absorbing element with any element of the set is the absorbing element itself.
